To enjoy miles of golden sand at some of the best beaches in Spain, choose golf holidays in Fuerteventura.
Known as ‘The peaceful island’ Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands, after Tenerife. With stunning views of ancient volcanoes, palm trees and picturesque villages, the climate is also pleasant throughout the year making for perfect golf conditions.
The first club to be established on the island was Fuerteventura Golf Club, located in the beach resort of Caleta de Fuste just eight kilometres from the airport. Opened in 2002, just two years later it hosted the Spanish Open. The course weaves around some stunning villas and apartments, with the five star club house at the Elba Palace Golf Resort Hotel enjoying an elevated position at the back of the course and offering fabulous views down to Caleta de Fuste.
Salinas de Antigua Golf, in Antigua, features a par 70 course designed by Manolo Piñeiro. The course landscape, dotted with desert areas and four lakes, is formed by hills and dunes which protect players from the wind.
